What does Plus unlock?
Plus adds seven things on top of the free experience. (1) Two extra DSM-5 cases every day, on top of the daily case everyone gets. (2) The full daily archive — every past daily case, not just the recent ones. (3) In-depth clinical reasoning and diagnostic differentials on every case you complete. (4) Criterions — a new daily puzzle every day where you group 16 DSM-5 criteria into 4 diagnoses (free players can replay a sample anytime). (5) Practice Mode — back-to-back study sessions across every case you've already completed, ideal for shelf-exam or boards prep. (6) A gift link each month — share one free month of Plus with a colleague. (7) Your direct support for ongoing case writing and DSMdle development.
How Plus cases work
Are Plus cases harder than the daily case?
No. Plus cases are written to the same standard as the daily case — same clue progression, same difficulty target, same medical realism.
How do I get Plus cases?
Every day you're subscribed, you "earn" that day's two Plus cases. They're tied to specific calendar dates — whoever is subscribed on a given day earns the cases scheduled for that day, in your local timezone.
How can I access my Plus cases?
Two ways. After you finish any daily case, the result screen has a "Play another case" button that takes you to your next unplayed Plus case. Or open the Plus tab in the archive — every Plus case you've earned is listed there.
When does today's Plus case become available?
At midnight in your local timezone. We use the timezone your browser sends us so a new day starts when it actually starts for you, not when it starts in some server timezone.
Can I miss a day and "lose" a Plus case?
No. Once a Plus case is released and you're subscribed, it's earned. You can play it that same day, next week, or six months later (as long as you're Plus).
What happens to my Plus cases if I cancel?
Your earned cases are not deleted — they're still yours. You just can't access them while you're not currently subscribed. If you resubscribe later, every Plus case you earned during your previous subscription comes back into your archive on day one of your new subscription, and you start earning new ones again going forward.
Extended clinical explanations
Where do I find the extended clinical explanations?
On the result screen of any completed case — daily, Plus, or any archive replay. Tap "See clinical breakdown" to flip into the deep view. Free players see the overview tab on every case; Plus unlocks the "This case" and "Differentials" tabs.
Practice Mode
How does Practice Mode work?
Pick a session length (5, 10, or 20 cases) and Practice Mode runs you through random cases back-to-back. The pool draws from cases you've already finished — daily and Plus — that were scheduled before today. Session results are saved to a separate practice history that doesn't affect your daily streak or stats.
Why can I only practice cases I've already completed?
It avoids spoiling cases you haven't yet played in their proper context. The first time you see a case should feel like the daily ritual, not a random draw mid-session. If you cancel and resubscribe, your earned cases come back into the eligibility pool exactly as they were.
Criterions
What is Criterions?
Criterions is a Connections-style daily puzzle: 16 criterion tiles on a board, grouped into 4 DSM-5 diagnoses (4 tiles each), with 4 mistakes allowed. It's a separate mode from the daily case — its own streak, stats, and share card.
How do I play today's Criterions puzzle?
Open Criterions from the menu. Plus members get a brand-new board every day at midnight in your local timezone. Free players can replay the same demo board anytime to try the mode before upgrading.
Gift a free month
How does the gift program work?
As a Plus member, create one shareable gift link per month from Account → Subscription. Send it to a colleague — when they sign in and claim it, they receive 30 days of Plus. Unclaimed links expire after 30 days.
How often can I share a gift link?
One new link every 30 days. If you already have an active unclaimed link, that's the one you'll see until it expires or is claimed. Your next link unlocks 30 days after you created the last one.
Who can claim a gift link?
Anyone who doesn't already have Plus — including new sign-ups. You can't claim your own link, and each person can only receive one gifted month.
Billing
Monthly or annual — what's the difference?
Both unlock identical Plus features. Annual works out to roughly two months free compared to paying month-to-month, so it's the better value if you plan to stay subscribed long-term.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. After you cancel, you keep full access through the end of your current billing period. After that, your earned cases become inaccessible until you resubscribe.
How do I update my card or cancel?
From your Account page, click "Manage billing." That opens the Stripe customer portal where you can change your payment method, see past invoices, and cancel your subscription.
Do you store my payment information?
No. All payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Plus isn't for you, email us within 7 days of your first payment and we'll refund you, no questions asked. After that window, you can still cancel anytime and you'll keep access through the end of your current billing period.
